In response to new requirements under the Casino Control Amendment Act 2022 (NSW), The Star Entertainment Group sought a compliant, efficient way to implement carded play across its Australian properties. 

NEO partnered with Circle to design and deliver a self-service platform that simplifies player registration, identity verification and onboarding – giving guests a fast, intuitive experience while meeting every compliance requirement.

The Challenge

Carded play legislation requires every casino patron to be identified and linked to a registered player card before gambling. 

The Star needed a system that could:

  • Access a digital safety induction and responsible-gaming messages 
  • Use touch and QR navigation for quick transactions
